What Is Belly Casting?

Pregnancy belly casting offered in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Radford, Roanoke, Floyd and surrounding areas in VA.  A belly cast is a plaster cast made of a mom’s pregnant form capturing her exact shape (A snapshot in time). Belly casts enable a mom to forever remember how she looked during her pregnancy and the special nine months she shared with her growing baby.  Also, it is sweet for your child to see what you looked like when they were inside you.

When is the best time to make a belly cast?

Most women choose to have a belly cast done in the 7th or 8th month of pregnancy.

How long does it take to make a belly cast?

The length of time required to make the cast depends on the pose that is chosen. A belly only cast usually takes 20-30 minutes while a full torso could take up to an hour. Clean-up and drying time are not included in these estimates.

What can I do with my belly cast?

Bellycasts can be mounted and hung on a wall, placed on an easel, or displayed on a shelf. They can also be turned into a decorative bowl. You can keep your belly cast in its natural, white form or paint, decoupage or embellish it with fabrics, ribbon, beads, etc.
